Spend a life-changing week camping under the stars on the banks of the Huon River. Huon camp is all about experiencing real adventures; whether it be learning to kayak on white water, or grappling with big issues like what it means to follow God.

Huon epitomises the perfect summer week; plenty of time in the water, relaxing in the sun, throwing a Frisbee, eating great food and having inspiring discussions. All kayaking activities are run by qualified instructors. This is a camp with limited places – so get in quick!

Tommy Macqueen

This will be Tommy’s first time directing on an ACT camp. He led on his first ACT camps four years ago, when he was on the team for Mayfield and Huon. Since then, he has started an Outdoor Ministry in Launceston called Wild at Heart, using wilderness expeditions to experience God through His creation and sharing of stories. Tommy works as an Outdoor Education teacher throughout the week and is passionate about supporting people grow into the person God has created them to be.

Tommy sees Huon as the perfect mix of adventure, great people, and thought provoking teachings and conversations about what it means to be a Christian.
